Consuming Fire Christian Center School of the Miraculous
Discipleship is the biblical process of becoming a true follower of Jesus Christ. It is more than attending church or believing in God; it is learning to walk with Jesus, obey His Word, grow in spiritual maturity, and become transformed into His image.
Jesus commanded His followers to make disciples of all nations, teaching them to observe all things He commanded. This means discipleship involves salvation, teaching, obedience, prayer, fellowship, character development, service, and helping others follow Christ.
A disciple is a learner, servant, witness, and follower of Jesus. Through discipleship, believers are strengthened in faith, grounded in truth, protected from deception, and prepared to fulfill their God-given purpose in the Kingdom of God.
Based on: The Kingdom Philosophy of Servant Leadership | Dr. Myles Munroe
The video teaching is centered on “the importance and value of servanthood in the Kingdom.”
In the Kingdom of God, true leadership is not measured by position, title, control, or status, but by service, sacrifice, responsibility, and the ability to meet the needs of others.
60–75 minutes
Church leaders, ministers, deacons, ministry workers, emerging leaders, and believers are being trained for service.
In the Bible, servitude is not weakness. Servitude is the Kingdom pathway of humility, obedience, faithfulness, stewardship, and preparation. God often promotes people after they prove faithful in serving Him and serving others.
“But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.”
“He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much…”
“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.”
The video link is “The Key to the Christian Life – Dr. Charles Stanley.” In Touch Ministries summarizes the message as a teaching on how believers cannot live the Christian life in their own strength; the key is allowing Christ to live His life through us and direct us by His power.
The Christian life is not lived by self-effort, religious routine, or human strength. The true Christian life is Christ living in and through the believer.
Dr. Stanley’s main point is that many believers know they are saved, but still try to please God by their own strength. This creates frustration, inconsistency, spiritual weariness, and a powerless Christian walk. God’s will is not for believers to live a marginal or ritual-based life, but to walk daily in relationship with Him, trusting Him for wisdom, courage, strength, and obedience.
